Spa Search- Yhi Spa at Me Cancún
September 1, 2009 CANCÚN, MEXICO - Cancún isn’t just for spring breakers anymore. With nearly every hotel renovated following 2005’s Hurricane Wilma, this Mexican-Caribbean hotspot is looking better than ever. The recently opened ME Cancún, one of the first hotels to belong to the new ME by Meliá brand, is a perfect example. With lounge music oozing through the public areas, and Bali-style beds lining the beach, you may be so relaxed that you won’t even need to visit the Yhi Spa, but don’t make that mistake. This beautiful, 10,700-square-foot facility offers signature treatments including the Turquoise Blue Spa Ritual (US$180), which uses all-blue natural products (including finely ground Mayan blue corn and whole lavender flowers) to exfoliate and moisturize the skin. The Xtabentum Bath Ritual includes a Mayan liqueur derived from the honey of a local flower, plus anise grains and sugar cane. It makes for a sweet end to any day on the beach.
